No-Bake Sweet Marie Bars

This recipe is one of our family holiday favourites! Every single time we make these at home, Aidan ends up eating at least two a day until they’re gone.

So simple and easy to make; we have a feeling you’ll end up making these every year just like we do!

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter (or nut butter of your choice)
  • 1/2 cup brown rice syrup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Earth Balance dairy-free butter (or regular butter)
  • 2 cups brown rice crispy rice cereal
  • 1 cup unsalted peanuts
  • 1 cup Enjoy Life gluten-free, dairy-free chocolate chips

The Steps to Take

Step 1

Cook and stir peanut butter, brown rice syrup, brown sugar, and earth balance together in a large saucepan over medium low heat until boiling. Remove from heat.

Step 2

Fold crispy rice cereal and peanuts into mixture.

Step 3

Press into an 8 inch square baking dish with cooking spray of choice.

Step 4

Sprinkle chocolate chips over top of hot mixture and allow to melt/spread over top in an even layer.

Step 5

Cover and refrigerate until the mixture hardens (approx. 1 hour).

Step 6

Cut into squares immediately and enjoy! Store leftover squares in an air tight container.
